Lasting Power of Attorney

The Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document, allowing a person who is at least 21 years of age also known as a donor to voluntarily appoint one or more persons, also known as donee(s) to make decisions and act on his/her behalf should he/she lose mental capacity in the future. The donee appointed can help to manage the donor’s personal welfare, property & affairs matters.

The benefits of an LPA  is that it allows one to make a personal and considered choice of trusted donee, who is able and competent to act in his or her interest should the donor  loses mental capacity.
